So, why did I decide to write The Daily Blend? I’m a writer, that’s what I do. It’s my way of connecting with my inner self and with other people. You may run, or play the flute, or do 3-column sums in your head – I write.
As you may have gathered from the title, the focus here at The Daily Blend is pretty broad. There may be a post about quilting one day and fracking for oil the next.
Here are few other things you might want to know before you dive in – just to be sure you know what you’re getting into.
I like words. I use words – all the words. This is not meant to confuse or make anyone feel small. I just like doing it. Believe me, if you’re under twenty or maybe even thirty, you definitely use words I don’t know and you feel entirely comfortable doing it. So bear with me and do what I’m going to do when I come across a new word that you use. Look it up, use a dictionary or just google it. I figure if we do this then it’ll be much easier for us to make a connection.
And I like punctuation; I don’t always get it right but I like it and I use it.
Oh, and I get sidetracked a lot. I rant, I ramble, I reminisce.
The rest you’ll just have to learn as we go along.
